my portfolio got printed!

I choose a see-through folder cause I thought it looked kinda cool. This shot is by the one and only Camilla Odling Westin <3 I love every picture she takes of me so I had to put one of her on the cover!

 

Both shots are by Anders Samuelsson. This shoot was so much fun to do (but quite messy haha)!

The left photo is by Camilla again. The right photo's are my updated polaroids: no makeup and fancy outfit, just my body as it is.

Oke, wat meer info over mijn tripje naar Stockholm. Ik ben langs geweest bij modellen bureaus om mijn portfolio te laten zien! Iehhh! Het zal waarschijnlijk nergens op uitlopen, maar de hele ervaring was gewoon super leuk. De afgelopen tijd ben ik heel druk geweest met het opbouwen van een goed portfolio (en goed lichaam). Hier zie je een sneak peek van mijn portfolio, waar ik echt heel trots op ben! Er zitten nu twaalf foto's in en er is nog zat plek voor meer foto's. Ik vind het gewoon zo leuk dat ik de ballen heb om dit te doen. Ook al is dit misschien een dead end, ik heb het gevoel dat ik hier toch wat mee bereikt heb. Ik barst van het zelfvertrouwen en ik heb een leuke nieuwe hobby! En zo stap ik elke keer uit mijn comfort zone om iets te doen waar ik later trots op kan zijn.

Okay, some more info about my recent trip to Stockholm. I visited modeling agencies to show them my portfolio! Iehhhh! I will probably not end up with any sort of contract, but just the whole experience was so much fun. The last couple of months I've been working really hard on creating a good portfolio (and good body). Here you see a little sneak peek of my portfolio, of which I am really proud! Right now I have twelve pictures in it and lots of space for more pictures. I just think it's so much fun and good of myself that I have the balls to actually do this. Even though if this turns out to be a dead end, I still feel like I accomplished a lot. I'm boosting with confidence and I have a fun new hobby! I try to step out of my comfort zone as much as I can and to do things that I can be proud of later. 

Example:

Yesterday I met famous Swedish photographer Bingo Rimer.

And oh, I was his model too.

And there were 75 people watching us. 

And I made new friends and connections.

Mike and I were in Stockholm two weeks ago and we saw the cherry blossom at Kungstradgarden! We weren't the only ones trying to take photo's.. :'-)

Ik ben weer terug in Umea na een welverdiende vakantie in Nederland. Het was heerlijk om iedereen weer te zien en om van het warme zonnetje te genieten! Zoals ik al eerder heb gezegd, zijn we op de heenweg twee dagen in Stockholm gebleven. Hier hebben we het appartementje bekeken (super leuk aaahh), de stad bezocht en.... ik ben langs geweest bij modellenbureaus! Dat was echt zo'n vette ervaring! Daar zal ik in een andere post meer over vertellen. ;-) Wat ook super leuk was, waren de cherry blossom bomen in de koninklijke tuin. Ik ben al best vaak in Stockholm geweest, maar steeds miste ik net het bloesem seizoen. Het is zo mooi! De foto's spreken voor zichzelf... Kiss!

I'm back in Umea after a deserved holiday in Holland. It was so nice to see everyone again and to enjoy the warm sun! Like I said before, we stayed in Stockholm for two days before we went to Holland. We looked at the apartment (so nice aaahh), saw the city and... I visited modeling agencies! That was such a cool experience! I will tell you more about that in another post. ;-) We also saw the cherry blossom trees at the royal garden, which was pretty cool. I've been in Stockholm many times but I kept missing the blossoming season. It was really so pretty! The pictures don't need any explaining... Kiss!

Ik ben weer heerlijk thuis voor de Paasdagen. Mijn hele agenda staat volgepland met leuke dingen! Een drukke vakantie dus, haha! We waren hiervoor een paar dagen in Stockholm voor iets super leuks waar ik later meer over vertel. Deze foto's zijn nog van mijn shoot in het Elite Hotel in Umea samen met Andreas. Ik vind de foto's super mooi geworden en ik vond het echt heel erg leuk om te doen. Ik voelde me bijna een superster. ;-) Nu is het tijd om klaar te maken voor een etentje met familie en vriendin in het dorpscafe. Kus!

I'm back home in Holland for the Easter days. My whole agenda is fully booked with nice things! A busy holiday, haha! Before we came here we were in Stockholm for a few days for something really fun that I will tell you more about later. These pictures are from my shoot at Elite Hotel Umea together with Adreas. I love how the pictures turned out and I thought it was so cool to do. I almost felt like a true superstar. ;-) Now it's time to get ready for a dinner with friends and family at the local cafe. Aankomende dinsdag vertrekken Mike en ik richting Stockholm voor een heuze banenjacht! We gaan de stad verkennen, onze CV's van daken strooien en genieten van ons tripje samen. Als we geluk hebben zien we de roze cherry blossom trees in de koningklijke tuin. Ik zal zeker foto's delen als we het zien! Mike's ouders hebben een appartement in Stockholm die op dit moment leeg staat. Als we volgend jaar besluiten om naar Stockholm te verhuizen (alleen als we daar werk vinden of course), dan zou dat appartement perfect zijn voor ons om zo in te trekken. We gaan er dinsdag een nachtje slapen en woensdag avond vertrekken we naar Nederland voor Pasen. Ik heb zo veel zin om iedereen weer te zien! Ik heb ze zo gemist!! <3 <3

Next Tuesday Mike and I are flying to Stockholm for a real job-hunt! We are gonna explore the city, throw our CV's off the rooftops and just enjoy our trip together. If we're lucky we will see the cherry blossom trees in the royal garden. I will defenitely share pictures here if we do! Mike's parents own an apartment in Stockholm that is empty right now. If we decide to move to Stockholm next year (only if we find a job of course), than it's perfect for us to move in to. We are gonna spend Tuesday night there and on Wednesday we fly to Holland for Easter. I am so excited to see everyone again! I missed them so much!! <3 <3

Een paar weken geleden had ik een shoot met Andreas in het Elite Hotel in het hart van Umea. We hadden de mooiste kamer van het hele hotel! We hebben verschillende looks geschoten en hier is de eerste! I love it!

A few weeks ago I got to shoot with Andreas at the Elite Hotel in the centre of Umea. We had the prettiest room of the whole hotel! We have shot several look and this is the first one! I love it!
