hello weekend, hello fresh nails

Mooi kleurtje he?! Het is een super fijne nagellak om aan te brengen maar helaas blijft hij niet super lang zitten.. Ik had ook een donkerpaarse kleur gekocht van de H&M tergelijk met dit kleurtje en bij die paarse merkte ik al dat de kwaliteit niet super goed was. Ik ga de volgende keer ook een topcoat aanbrengen als ik mijn nagels lak met deze kleurtjes, misschien dat het helpt! Ik ben trouwens deze week ook naar de kapper geweest (eindelijk) en het voelt zo fijn aan. Me so happyyy. Ik zal volgende week proberen wat foto's te posten want voor mijn gevoel is er echt super veel af.

Ik zou vandaag trouwens gaan wandelen rond het meer met een vriendin maar het is vandaag super kut weer dus we hebben het even uitgesteld. Regen en harde wind, bleh.. Door de regen is alle sneeuw is nu aan het smelten dus het is buiten een grote drap bedoeling. Dat gaat wat worden als ik morgen naar school moet. Ik loop altijd door een klein parkje waar ze nooit de sneeuw weghalen. Tijdens koude dagen is dat wel heel leuk want dan sta je tot de knie in de sneeuw, maar nu... iets minder fijn!

Pretty color huh?! It's a really nice nail polish to apply onto your nails but unfortunately it doesn't stay on for too long. I bougth a dark purple one at the same time I was buying this one, and I already noticed that the quality of that one wasn't so great. Next time I will try it out together with some topcoat, perhaps it helps! Btw, I got a haircut this week (finally) and my hair feels so nice. Me so happyyy. I'm gonna try to upload some pictures next week because it really feels like it's a lot shorter.

I was actually gonna go for a walk at the lake with my friend today but the weather is really poopy so we had to cancel it. Rain and hard wind: bleh.. Because of the rain all the snow is melting so everything outside is really slushy. Haha, it's gonna be quite an adventure when I have to go to school tomorrow. I normally walk through this park-y place where they never remove the snow. When it's a cold day that can be quite fun because you're in the snow up to your knees, but now... not so much fun!

WEEKEND!! Eindelijk uitslapen en heerlijk relaxen. Morgen boodschapjes doen en artikelen lezen voor mijn studie en zondag ga ik een lekker dagje wandelen bij het meer met een vriendin. Dit truitje had ik aan op valentijnsdag toen M en ik lekker hadden gegeten en naar de film zijn geweest. Ik vind blote schouders altijd super elegant staan en dit frisse kleurtje kan zowel in de winter als in de lente gedragen worden (bonus). De broek die ik op deze foto's aan heb, is trouwens niet meer.. Hij is gescheurd maar ik ga het proberen te repareren haha. En twee dagen later gebeurde natuurlijk hetzelfde met mijn favo jeans.. Misschien is dit een teken dat ik minder moet eten??

WEEKEND!! Finally time to sleep in and relax. Tomorrow I'm going shopping for groceries and read articles for my study and on Sunday I'm going for a hike at the lake with my friend. I wore this top on Valentines when M and me had a nice supper and went to the movies. I always think that bare shoulders are so elegant and this fresh color can be worn in both winter and spring (bonus). Btw, the pants I'm wearing in the pictures went to heaven.. It's ripped but I'm gonna try to fix it haha. And of course two days later the same thing happens to my fav jeans.. Maybe this is a sign that I should eat less??

Tip: A good base is the most important thing in a whole makeup look. I always like to have a flawless face when I'm planning on wearing heavy eyes. I only want the attention to go to my eyes and not to my red spots or pimples, so I like to have a full coverage product on my problem areas. Setting the concealer with a powder will make sure that it doesn't crease or form lines during the night. I used a really light colored powder and let it "bake" on my skin for 10 minutes or so. This will really brighten and highlight your face and give shape to your face.

Tip: A lot of people skip brows when they do their makeup, but I really think it can make a huge difference. When done right, they can really frame your face and finally give you (read: me) some emotion and expression back in your face. I already have quite full eyebrows and I prefer them still a bit wild so all I want to do is give it some shape and fill in the gaps. I used the wax of the brow palette to fix and smoothen the hairs and then the dark powder to fill in my brows. Don't overdo it tho, that can sometimes look a bit silly!

LIPS

Little bit of vaseline and some concealer that happened to be on my lips after blending it with a beauty blender-like sponge.

Tip: If you put some (or a lot, like me) highlighter on your cupids bow, you can make your lips look more plump.

hangover food

Toast met gegrilde kaas, avocado en tomaatjes: super lekker! Ik ben weer helemaal bovenop en dat moest dit weekend gevierd worden met wat feestjes natuurlijk. Misschien niet heel verstandig maar gezellig was het zeker! Nu is het Valentijnsdag en hebben M en ik het lekker rustig aan gedaan. Naja, rustig... Ik heb de hele dag in de keuken gestaan. Het resltaat: 5x lunch voor volgende week (pasta met kip, prei en dopewrtjes), een kladdkaka met fudge topping en een lekker dinertje (zalm uit de oven). Pjoe, nu even een opdracht maken voor school en dan is het tijd om een filmpje te pakken! xoxo

A grilled cheese sandwich with avocado and tomato's: super yum! I'm feeling a lot better and of course I had to celebrate that with some parties this weekend. Maybe not the best decision, but we did have fun! Now it's Valentines day so M and me took it easy today. Well, easy... I was in the kitchen the whole day. The result: 5x lunch for next week (pasta with chicken, leek and green peas), a kladdkaka with fudge and a nice dinner (roasted salmon). Pjoe, now I'm typing an assignment for school and then it's time to catch a movie! xoxo

Terwijl ik deze blogpost aan het schrijven ben, lig ik met een keelontsteking op bed. Ik ga morgen naar een dokter toe want ik ben aan heel lang aan het kwakkelen. Ik ben afgelopen week ook mega verkouden geworden dus ik hoop niet dat dit iets secundair is maar gewoon een virusje. Naja, wie weet heeft de dokter iets waarvan ik me weer beter ga voelen. Wel een pluspuntje: Ik ben eindelijk begonnen aan "Making A Murderer"... OMG?! Hebben jullie het al gezien?? Echt ziek!!

Anyways, toen we zaterdag naar Nordmaling gingen was ik eigenlijk van plan om buiten in de sneeuw foto's te maken van deze look. Helaas besloten de weergoden om er een sneeuwstorm tegenaan te gooien dus dat was niet helemaal mogelijk. Toen hebben we ons balkon maar gebruikt als locatie en ik moet zeggen dat het licht hier echt super mooi is! De reden waarom ik nooit eerder hier outfit foto's had gemaakt is omdat er super veel tegenlicht is dus de foto's heel donker worden. Naja, niet dus! De doop van M's neefje was trouwens een hele mooie ervaring. Ik heb zelf nog nooit naar zo'n ceremony geweest dus het was voor mij heel apart om dat van dichtbij te zien.

Whilst writing this blog post, I'm laying in my bed with a throat infection. Tomorrow I'm gonna go see a doctor because I haven't been feeling well for quite a while now. Last week I got a mega cold so I hope it's not a secondary thing but just a virus. Oh well, maybe the doctor has something that will make me feel better. A positive thing in all this: I finally started watching "Making A Murderer"... OMG?! Have you seen it yet?? So sick!! 

Anyways, when we went to Nordmaling on Saturday, the plan was to take outfit pictures outside in the snow. Unfortunately the weather gods decided to send a serious snow storm down here so it wasn't really an option. Then we took some pictures on the balcony instead and I just love the light in there! The reason why I've never taken pictures there is that there is so much back light and then the pictures get super dark. Well, turns out there not! The baptism of M's nephew last Saturday was a really nice experience btw. I've never been to a ceremony like this so it was nice to for once see it from up close.

Ik ben onze kale muren een beetje zat en ik vind dat het wel eens tijd wordt om het een beetje op te leuken. Ik heb een aantal fotolijstjes gekocht bij de tweedehandswinkel en ik wil daarmee aan de slag gaan. Hierboven zie je een impressie van hoe ik het wil hebben. Het ziet er heel druk uit op de foto's, maar onze kamer is niet super kleurrijk en staat ook niet vol met spullen dus ik denk dat een drukke muur juist wel leuk is. Wat denken jullie?
 
Ik ga me nu even klaar maken om de deur uit te gaan want de gaan poolen met vrienden en daarna een hapje eten. Morgen heb ik nog een ochtendje les en dan lekker weekend! Zaterdag gaan we naar Nordmaling voor de doop van M's neefje dus dat wordt heel interessant voor mij haha. Ik ben in geen jaren in de kerk geweest (ik ben niet gelovig + het is ook nog eens in het Zweeds) dus ik hoop dat het allemaal maar goed gaat komen.. :-P


I'm starting to get a bit bored by our empty walls so it's about time to do something about that. I got some pictures frames from the second hand store to use for my little project. This mood board gives an idea of what I want it to look like. It looks really intense on the pictures but we don't have anything else going on in our room so a wall like this would look really good I think. What are your thoughts? 

Right now I'm getting ready because I'm heading down town soon to play some pool with friends and after that me and M will grab a bite. Tomorrow I only have class in the morning and after that is weekend! Saturday we will go to Nordmaling for M's nephews baptism which will be very interesting for me haha. I haven't been in a church in yeeeears (I'm not religious +all of the ceremony will be in Swedish) so I hope everything will work out...  :-P
